Turntablism is alive and more creative than ever. Rane and Serato are proud to be supporting partners in that creativity with the introduction of the Rane Sixty-One and Sixty-Two Mixers for Serato Scratch Live. For more than a decade, artists have chosen innovative Rane instruments to advance their art and three generations of TTM series mixers have been the top pick for many of the world's best performers. These mixers more tightly integrate performers, music, software, and hardware. The artist adds the passion, imagination and skills.
The Sixty-One is a plug-and-play package supporting two-deck digital vinyl simulation, software effects and all the record and playback channels you need.
The Sixty-One Mixer supports both analog and Digital Vinyl Simulation (DVS) playback. The mixer is bundled with Serato Scratch Live and includes ASIO and Core Audio drivers to use other audio programs. Two Serato Control Vinyl Records and two Serato Control CDs are included.
A typical setup includes operation with two Scratch Live DVS channels, SP-6 sample player on an independent USB Aux playback channel and Software effects enabled on the USB digital insert in the FlexFx loop. This setup also allows recording PGM-1 post-fader, PGM-2 post-fader and the Main mix.
If you are looking for the same bullet-proof construction, pristine audio quality and integrated 20-channel sound card, but would like added hardware effects, a second USB port to share with another DJ and their laptop, dedicated controls for Library, Loops, Cues and the SP-6 sampler, consider the Rane Sixty-Two Mixer.

One goal I have with this site is to exposed, bring to light, music from all over the world because after all, it's WorldWideDJs, right? It's beautiful to live in America but the music distribution here sucks big time. If it's not in English, if it's not release by one of the 5 major labels controlling the core of the radio stations, it's not getting played. If an artist don't come to the U.S. to record with U.S. producers, forget it, it's not getting played. Yes, a few international artists have enjoyed airplay in the U.S. without having to do much in the U.S. but it's a long shot for most.

A lot of songs are worldwide hits minus the U.S. If they they ever become a hit in the U.S., they get here on the radio like months or even year after. It's hard task trying to change that but I can do my best to expose songs and artists that I believe should be heard. So, whoever is on the same page and thinks of music in a wider term and look to hear something different then you can count on DarkLight and WorldWideDJs to bring music from around the world to your door. If it's hot, I bump it, promote it and talk about it.
With that said, I wanna introduce "Alors On Dance" by Stromae which been a hit in Europe for months. The song is so big that Kanye West made a remix with Stromae, Lumidee also has a remix of it. Stromae is a Belgian Hip-Hop and electronic music signed to Vertigo Records (a label of Mercury Records). The song is catchy with a laid back dance beat; the language on it is French. Enjoy!!

More "Exposed" to come.
